Kelp Sirens
This fine art photography series is a visual meditation on the symbiotic relationship between the feminine form and the untamed beauty of the underwater world. Shot within the surreal and serene kelp forests of California's Channel Islands, each image invites viewers into a dreamlike world where women—representing diverse archetypes—become part of the ocean's delicate ecosystem. The kelp, with its garden-like quality, acts as both sanctuary and mirror, reflecting themes of transformation, power, and rebirth.
Each figure embodies the duality of strength and vulnerability, with elements of mythology and fantasy woven into the imagery. The woman in the red dress represents passion and confidence; the tattooed woman celebrates individuality and raw authenticity; the mermaid figure embodies mystery and allure. The Channel Island are an archipelago off the coast of California. I embarked on a 5 days journey on board of Vision to shoot the Kelp Sirens colelction.
